Warrick Cares Recognition
The St. Vincent dePaul organization is "a worldwide network of 800,000 lay Catholics who are inspired by Gospel values
to grow in holiness and build a more just world through personal relationships with and service to people in need."
Locally, the Boonville chapter is comprised of men and women of any age, any race and any income level who wish
to share their blessings of time, talent and treasure with those who need help and hope.
For the period of October 1, 1022 to September 30, 2023, 17 members raised $46,033 and disbursed $32,396 to those
served in the form of rent assistance, utility assistance and emergency hotel stays.
Specific service rendered include: 88 Home visits, helping 183 people;
272 Elder care visits, helping 395 individuals; 188 other in-person visits, helping 570 people (example-at WESK);
In-kind items value $1,209; 5,889 total miles driven & donated by members; 3,844 total hours of service donated.
St. Vicent dePaul also has a Spanish-speaking ministry.
Support was also rendered to recently relocated Afghan immigrants in Owensboro.
The local chapter works closely with the office of the Trustee of Boon Township to insure services provided are
sychronized with that office to maximize efficiencies and insure redundant services delivered are minimized
